Dr. Kiko Carmona left the group in the middle of July to start his new position in the University of Granada. Kiko worked on the project on bioapplications of MOPs, which will be (hopefully) soon published elsewhere. Kiko first joined the group as a visiting student when he was a PhD student in the group of Prof. Elisa Barea in the University of Granada. Kiko came back to Kyoto as a postdoc last year as he loved a life here. Now it is a new adventure for him as a Marrie Currie fellow to work in the group of Prof. Jorge Navarro. Good luck, Kiko!!
Two weeks later, in the end of July, Dr. Ivy Tsang left the group to start her new position in Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in Poland. Ivy worked on the project of soft materials based on MOPs. This result will be also (hopefully) published soon elsewhere. Ivy was supposed to leave the group earlier but due to the pandemic she stayed longer than planned, which was in-turn lucky for us because Ivy is not only a good scientist but also a hub of people. Ivy really helped the group a lot from the scientific and organization viewpoints.
We had farewell events in the 2020 style with social distancing. Good luck, Kiko and Ivy!! We miss you guys a lot!!
