“Reliable” is a strong word, but we want to start with it. We don’t use it lightly, but when you meet Tomoki, you’ll be amazed at how well he manages everything.

In his research, he explored the effect of bulky groups on the porosity of amorphous solids of MOPs. In the lab, he takes charge of organizing reagents and setting specifications for instrument use. He handles everything perfectly, and you can trust him completely.

At the same time, Tomoki is a kind and approachable person. He is always ready to help others, solve problems, and offer support whenever needed. While he is serious and responsible, he also has a great sense of humor. He also has a keen eye for art, and many of us have learned from him how to create illustrations for applications or design effective slides.

Tomoki has now secured a position as an assistant professor at Tohoku University. We wish him all the best in this new chapter of his life. We’ll miss watching basketball games together, but we’re sure he will continue cheering for Kyoto Hannaryz, even from a different city. Most importantly, we are confident that he will continue his great scientific research and continue to support those around him, bringing warmth and encouragement to his new community.
