New paper published in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces on PANI-MOP nanocomposites for supercapacitors
We demonstrated that redox-active ruthenium-based metal-organic polyhedra (RuMOPs) can serve as effective additives during the in situ polymerization of aniline to produce nanocomposites with enhanced supercapacitor performance. Even at low MOP content, the composites showed higher specific capacitance, better rate capability, and improved long-term cycling stability compared to pristine polyaniline. We congratulate all contributors and look forward to further advances in MOP-based energy storage materials.

New paper published in Chemical Science on soft porous crystals from flexible metal-organic cages
We reported soft porous crystals assembled from flexible rhodium-based metal-organic cages with imine-linked ligands. The same compound can adopt two distinct activated phases depending on how the activation is carried out. One phase shows conventional microporous gas adsorption, and the other undergoes reversible stepwise CO₂ uptake driven by hinge-like ligand flipping and structural rearrangement. We congratulate all contributors and look forward to further development of flexible cage-based porous materials.

New review published in Coordination Chemistry Research on redox-active metal-organic cages
We reviewed recent developments in redox-active metal-organic cages and their multielectron redox processes. The review classifies redox-active cages according to metal nodes, organic ligands, metalloligands, and guest molecules, and discusses how their structures influence electron transfer and electrochemical behavior. Particular attention is given to the electrical double layer and electronic communication between multiple redox sites. We also highlight their potential applications in energy storage, catalysis, sensing, and information storage.

New paper published in Small on remote-controlled molecular delivery using plasmonic nanowires
We demonstrated a method for delivering bioactive molecules into a single live cell without direct light exposure. By coating plasmonic nanowires with a nitric oxide-releasing metal-organic framework, surface plasmon polaritons generated at a remote excitation point activate the framework and release NO locally at the cell membrane. The biological relevance of the delivery was confirmed by monitoring intracellular calcium changes. We congratulate all contributors on this work, which opens new possibilities for minimally invasive single-cell studies.

New paper published in JACS on viscosity control in porous liquids
We reported a strategy to tune the viscosity of type I porous liquids without changing their pore volume. By varying the surface functional groups on rhodium-based metal-organic polyhedra, the conformation of tethered polymer chains changes significantly, leading to viscosity differences spanning eight orders of magnitude. The porous liquids also show a temperature-dependent gating effect for CO₂ uptake. We congratulate all contributors and look forward to the practical applications of this work in gas separation and membrane fabrication.
