We welcomed two new members in the Furukawa group!!
Dr. Sophia Schmitt joined the group. Sophia used to be our member as a visiting student when she was a PhD student in the group of Manuel Tsotsalas and Christof Wöll at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. She rejoined the group as a postdoc! Welcome back, Sophia!!
Mr. Po-Chun Andrew Han is a PhD student in the group of Kevin Wu at National Taiwan University, Taiwan and joined the group as a visiting student. Po-Chun will stay till the middle of September. Welcome, Po-Chun!!
We organized the welcome party as the part of the first Furukawa group sports day! We come to know that Sophia is a great driver of Mario Kart and Po-Chun is the best among us!!
We are also very happy to welcome Frederik back to Kyoto after three month paternity leave!!
