In this autumn, the Furukawa group expanded and four new postdocs joined. We will explore a new chemistry of metal-organic cages all together.

Dr. Javier Troyano joined as a JSPS postdoc from the group of Daniel Maspoch at ICN2, Barcelona. He worked on MOF-based actuators by taking advantage of flexible MOFs.

Dr. Ivy Tsang also joined as a JSPS postdoc from the group of Stuart James at Queen’s University Belfast. She worked on MOF-based porous liquids.

Dr. Kiko Carmona joined as a postdoc from the group of Elisa Barea at University of Granada. He worked on CO-releasing MOFs for bioapplications. Kiko used to work in our group as a visiting student.

Dr. Eli Sanchez joined as a JSPS postdoc from the group of Ilich Ibarra at UNAM, Mexico City. He worked on gas/guest accommodation in MOFs for environmental applications.

Welcome all to the Furukawa group. We do great chemistry together!! All of them are under training of security and multiscale materials design (see, picture below).
