This summer, we welcomed three undergraduates for their internship. Michel Lu from Harvard joined us as an Amgen Scholar, Mathew Cao from Toronto as an internship student supported by Mitacs Globalink Research Award, and Nicholas Wiesner from Michigan as an iCeMS Summer Internship Student. Michel worked with Idaira for new material fabrication toward environmental analysis, Mathew worked with Zaoming for porous colloids and Nick worked with Tomoki for the synthesis of new metal-organic polyhedra. All of them devoted themselves for research for a few months and made a lot of progress. At the final stage, all students gave oral presentations on their works. Meanwhile, we also enjoyed the nice Kyoto life together!! We wish them great success in the future. And, look forward to welcoming all of them again in Kyoto!!
