During her time with us, she demonstrated excellent planning and worked tirelessly on her research, achieving impressive results and preparing a paper for publication. Beyond her research, she brought positivity and joy to our…

David got an assistant professor position in Hiroshima

For colloidal gels, the gel network determines their mechanical properties. Our group has now developed a light-sensitive gel that can alter the composition of its network when exposed to light of a specific wavelength, significantly enhancing its mechanical properties. This achievement was made possible thanks to our outstanding postdoctoral researcher, David, who shed light on…

Ayana recived award in JSCC2024!!

Our group members participated in the 74th Conference of Japan Society of Coordination Chemistry (JSCC) this year. Both oral and poster presentations were excellent, and our outstanding student Ayana Miyata (M2) recived the Oral Presentations Award!! Congratulations!!

Shun started his new journey

Small forces can accumulate into great forces. Even weak van der Waals forces, when accumulated, can support a gecko crawling on a wall. This concept also applies to supramolecular chemistry, where dispersed molecular cages can assemble into highly stable structures through the accumulation of van der Waals forces. We call these structures "WaaFs". This idea…

Welcome three undergraduate students

We are pleased to announce three undergraduate students joining our group and ready to dive into research. Over the next year, Atsuto Okubo, Kazuma Hata, and Ryoma Terada will conduct experiments and explore the world of research. Hopefully this will be a year full of discovery and enjoyment for them! Atsuto Okubo (left),…
