[Conference] EuroMOF2015

The lab head, Prof. Susumu Kitagawa and Prof. Shuhei Furukawa attended the EuroMOF2015 conference in Potsdam and delivered the talks. It was a nice occasion to catch up with the former group members, Manuel, Sophia and Kira!!

Summer Internship Presentations

The summer internship students, Yue, Kyohei and Kotaro, presented the summary of their 1.5 month researches and shared their experiences in the MC2 group. All of the talks were logically constructed and were presented very well!! We celebrated the birth of these young researchers!! We wish all these students to become great scientists!!

Manuel’s Wedding@Hamburg

The former member of MC2, Dr. Manuel Tsotsalas, got married with Sabrina and organized the wedding party at Hamburg in the middle of August. Welcome Party for Sofie

The welcome party for Sofie was organized at a teppenyaki restaurant. The former visitor from Leuven, Ivo Stassen, was also visiting us to strengthen the JSPS-FWO collaboration project. We were quite happy to welcome friends, Kenji Yoshida, Hiroyasu Tabe and Prof. Hideki Hirori in the party!!

Summer Party!

We organized a summer party at the nice beer garden in the occasion of farewell for our great collaborators from Granada, Prof. Elisa Barea and Mr. Kiko Carmona. We continued a party at the bank of Kamogawa till midnight! Though Elisa and Kiko are leaving back to Spain soon, our collaboration will be continued!

Social activity at winery!

On the day of the anniversary of the establishment of Kyoto University, 18/June, we visited as a group social activity the Tamba Winery located at the middle of Kyoto Prefecture. We learnt how to make wine and enjoyed a cool weather and delicious lunch!
